The internship assignment
You will be part of a team that shapes the identity of the Gigafactory Berlin Brandenburg. Your role will drive the employee experience, creating and cultivating an inspiring work environment. You will support the creative team with a variety of design tasks including interior, furniture, graphic, signage, wayfinding and art-related projects. The role requires an inventive, open mind, willing to go beyond the standards to create authentic design solutions based on first principles.
Learning goals & tasks
Own the design of the workplace, making the Gigafactory a cool place to workSupport in different Workplace design requestsCreate signage for interior offices and exterior sites including wayfinding, printed graphics, interior/exterior building signage, event signage, branded digital assets for Tesla offices, factories, and manufacturing facilitiesAssist in selection and procurement of design finishes that align with overall project goals as well as Tesla design standards. Prepare layouts, POR’s, renderings, and space utilization studies as neededKeep an eye on latest trends in workplace design, research furniture and fixtures, new fabrication technologies and materials for implementation in our people spacesBuild and maintain strong relationships with the diverse stakeholders to ensure overall program alignmentRequirements
Studying towards or recently graduated from a degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Product Design and relatedFluent in English, German is a plusSkills in current versions of Adobe Creative SuiteStrong time management skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to translate a concept sketch into a feasible productAbility to effectively communicate ideas in writing, speaking, visualizingAbility to work in a team as well as in an organized and independent mannerTalent to break down complex problemsInterest in exploring the intersection of technology and artExperience in furniture / lighting design and Project Management is a plus as well as 3D modeling and visualization software (e.g. Rhino / Revit + Vray / Twinmotion)
