As Mechanical Design Intern in the Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg Factory Development team, you will be responsible in assisting the mechanical design team to complete calculations & studies in order to complete Construction Documentation, as well as supporting to deliver design documentation to the construction team.
Learning goals & Tasks
Learning required software, such as Revit, BIM360, PipeFlo.Learning how to coordinate across different design disciplines, as well as with manufacturing, procurement, construction.Learning how to effectively document and track change management using document and project controls tools.Requirements
Experience/knowledge of designing Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems and some plumbing experience/knowledge. Hydraulic heating and cooling systems.Pursuing or recent graduated in the following fields: Building Physics, Building Information Modeling, BIM Technician & Mechanical Engineering. Experience in writing engineering reports and assessing systems and construction quality, including site observation visits and review of RFIs and shop drawings.Experience/knowledge of various calculation and modeling software, such as HVAC load calculations and pressure drop calculations, Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Revit.Proficient in English and ideally a B1-B2 level in technical German. Detail-oriented, as well as a focus on thoroughly completing tasks.
