Martell Mumm Perrier-Jouët (MMPJ), prestige Cognac and Champagne branch of Pernod Ricard, composed of the oldest cognac House and 2 of the most prestigious champagne brands in the world, is seeking a Market Activation Intern for 6 months from July 2021.
The role of a brand owner is to manage production and plants and develop the brands overall strategy in close relationships with Market Companies. Created in 1811, The Maison of Champagne Perrier-Jouët is inspired by a constant drive for perfection and a passion for nature. Known for the uniqueness of its wines, the brand transformed the champagne tradition as a tribute for art. The Maison of Champagne Mumm is the icon of victory since its birth in 1827. Created in 1715, Martell is the oldest of the major Cognac Houses.
Support the market activation team (Mature or Growth relay markets) in implementing brand development plans for the MPJ in selected markets.
Mission & Objectives:
The market activation team’s main mission is to win the ‘Hearts and minds’ of local markets to accelerate MPJ global performances.
Building strong market network and relationships,Supporting the design of the local strategy,Ensuring marketing and commercial excellence, in line with the global guidelines.Two internships are available, each one focused on specific geographies:
Europe, Japan, Korea & LatamFrance, UK, Australia & Africa
Support day to day activities with market implementation & management of operational requests from markets,Support the Market Activation Managers (MAMs) on a selection of marketing projects with key markets (ie: new product launch, Vaps, events…),Report market & data analysis and competition benchmark,Manage monthly review on best practices & key activations:Help monitoring business performances (P&L analysis), report brand activations, competitor’s activity.Support the Activation team with transversal missions/project managementProvide operational support from Paris to locally based Activation Managers where neededWork in close relation with the brand team to consolidate and monitor POSM management,Transversal interactions with other internal teams (brand, digital, style…),Manage monthly review on best practices & key activations,Manage annual event calendar update consolidating all market events.Other potential key responsibilities
Creation of a consolidated deck presenting key geographies for the whole MMPJ portfolio
Skills & Qualifications:
Currently finishing a business school or at university,You have a good understanding of brand marketing in an international environment,You have a strong ability to work both in teams and autonomously,You have good analytical, planning and organizational skills and you know how to manage a project,You have interpersonal and communication skills – working across different teams internally and occasional contacts with local markets upon Market Activation Manager request,You are fluent in French and EnglishEnthusiasm and conviviality spiritUnderstanding of wine & spirits category (ideally of Cognac & Champagne) is a plus
