Space Applications Services is a company at the forefront of space technology development and the provision of services for human spaceflight, exploration, and earth observation missions. Headquartered in Belgium (Brussels Area), with a research office in the Netherlands and a subsidiary in the USA, the company provides solutions for both commercial and institutional customers. We work with clients such as the European Space Agency, the European Commission, governmental and national space agencies as well as the major space industries.
The company develops payloads, avionics, robotics technology and products, and provides complete mission operations control centre solutions to EN9100 standards. The company also provides engineering, science, and training services, including astronaut training. In our headquarters, we have a control centre room that operates commercial payloads on the International Space Station, and a laboratory comprising a cleanroom.
AssignmentThe successful Intern will be based in our main office at Sint-Stevens-Woluwe (Brussels Area).
The Internship is available in the Human Resources (HR) Team (Administration Department).
The candidate will mainly report to the HR Recruiter.
The successful Intern will have the opportunity to interact daily with the HR Team, as well as Engineers & Managers.
Tasks and ResponsibilitiesDuties include a selection of the following:
Contribute to the development of the company recruitment strategyIdentify potential partnerships with universities, schools or associations, related to our activitiesUpdate existing documents (e.g. overviews, reports, user manuals)Support to the recruitment daily operations:Publish job adverts on the selected channelsPrescreen new candidates in the company recruitment toolRedirect unsolicited applications from the Jobs mailbox to the dedicated recruitment tool.Skills and ExperienceA selection of the following is desirable:
Currently enrolled in the 3rd year of studies (or higher) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, Communications, Public Relations or relevant studiesDemonstrated experience with Word, databases, ExcelDynamic with a problem-solving approachExcellent written and spoken EnglishStrength to self-discipline and work ethicWhat Do We OfferAn experience within a growing company with highly motivated Engineers, Scientists, and Administrative Staff coming from different horizons and countriesA professional and pleasant atmosphere and flexible work scheduleA full-time Internship with a lump sum allowance.
